Suicide or Murder?

Marilyn Monroe PictureAugust 4, 1962: The life of Hollywood Icon, Marilyn Monroe was tragically cut short.

Was it a suicide as the autopsy results and final verdict ruled? Or was her Death something more sinister? Muder, or worse, Assasination?

Did people of influence and power sheild the real facts of her death preventing the truth from being known, and perhaps even allowing the true killers to go free?

Will Marilyn Monroe's death go forever unsolved?

Born Norma Jean Mortensen, June 1st, 1926 at 9:30 am in Los Angeles California. She became known as the Blonde Bombshell. She started using the name Marilyn Monroe in 1946, but did not legally change it until Feb. 23rd, 1956. The first time she signed an autograph as Marilyn Monroe, she had to ask how to spell it. She didn't know where to put the "i" in "Marilyn".

She was "discovered" by press photographers during a WWII photo shoot at the Radioplane plant in California (a manufacturer of military drone targets), owned by actor Reginald Denny. She was one of the plant's employees, and her attractive looks and natural charm made her a "magnet" for the photographers.

This 1947 Miss California Artichoke Queen fascinated America with her lisp, her breathless voice and platinum blonde hair. Not to mention her voluptuous figure.

Voted 'Sexiest Woman of the Century' by People Magazine, and "Sweetheart" of the Month by Playboy Magazine in its first issue, December 1953. Playboy also went on to name her the Number One Sex Star of the 20th Century in 1999.

Though Marilyn Monroe made only 30 films in her lifetime, her legendary status will remain not only in film history but as a cultural icon, forever.
